Günter Kneringer named Honorary President of the Plansee Seminar
Executive board members Michael Schwarzkopf and Bernhard Schretter present Günter Kneringer with a certificate to mark his appointment as Honorary President of Plansee Seminar.
On June 30, 2008 Dr. Günter Kneringer was named Honorary President of the Plansee Seminar. With his nomination the Plansee Group’s Executive Board recognize his outstanding contributions to innovation within the High Performance Materials division as well as to the Plansee Seminar, where he had been serving as Conference Chairman since 1989.
Günter Kneringer retired at the end of June 2008 after 33 years of service at Plansee, 19 years thereof as Head of the Innovation Services department. In this position he was responsible for research and development of the Plansee High Performance Materials division. His scientific work resulted in more than 20 patents and over 50 publications.
Günter Kneringer will continue to serve on the Scientific Committee of the 17th Plansee Seminar. His presence as colleague and his experience and broad perspective well beyond the realm of powder metallurgy will be highly valued.
