Realignment of PMG Group [30/09/2009]
Tokyo, Japan / Reutte, Austria – the PMG Group, the specialist manufacturer of sintered automotive parts, today announced a change in its ownership structure. The decision was taken jointly by Austria-based Plansee Holding AG and Japan-based Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, both of which have a 50-percent stake in the company.  |
Plansee Group increases sales in the last fiscal year [09/07/2009]
The 2008/09 fiscal year saw the Plansee Group’s consolidated sales rise by two percent, to a total of 1.1 billion euros. The Group continued to strengthen its position globally in the last fiscal year, and completed an investment program worth a total of 400 million euros. In the actual fiscal year managing the global economic crisis is a key priority: Measures to reduce costs and to increase liquidity are being implemented consistently.  |

Powder Metal community gathers in Reutte [18/02/2009]

Plansee Group acquires US powder expert GTP [23/04/2008]
Reutte/Austria, 23 April, 2008 – the Plansee Group has signed an agreement to purchase the Global Tungsten & Powders (GTP) business unit from Osram. The activities are part of the US company Osram Sylvania. The purchase price has not been disclosed, and the transaction remains subject to approval by the antitrust authorities. With the acquisition the Plansee Group will increase the company’s competitiveness and raw materials supply base for tungsten products, and expand its refractory metals activities in North America. GTP employs 1,050 people and will become a new division of the Plansee Group.  |

Reutte/Carlsbad, December 1, 2006 – Plansee High Performance Materials of Reutte, Austria, acquires Electro-Graph, a privately owned company headquartered in Carlsbad, California. A memorandum of understanding was signed by the two companies on November 27, 2006 and the acquisition is due to be completed in the first quarter of 2007.
