Management changes at the CERATIZIT-Group

Dr. Hans-Joachim Krumholz, who has successfully managed our carbide division since January 1, 2001, first as a member of the Executive Board of PLANSEE TIZIT AG and since November 29, 2002 as Spokesman of the Executive Board of CERATIZIT S.A. and Chairman of the Management Board of CERATIZIT Austria GmbH will be resigning as of July 1, 2004 to accept an offer in the automotive supplier industry. During the past three and a half years Dr. Krumholz has played a decisive role in shaping the new orientation of our Business Division 'Hard Metals and Tools', thus laying the foundation for the global position of the new CERATIZIT

From July 1, 2004 onwards the Executive Board of CERATIZIT S.A. will consist of
