The Plansee Group is an internationally active high-tech company based in Reutte in the Austrian Tyrol. The Group comprises three corporate divisions: Plansee High Performance Materials (100%), Global Tungsten & Powders (100%) and Ceratizit Hard Metals & Tools (50%) and has a 20-percent holding in the Chilean molybdenum processor Molymet.
The divisions and holdings of the Plansee Group cover every step of the molybdenum and tungsten value chain – from powder production through powder-metallurgical processes to customized processing and recycling of these materials.

Plansee Holding AG is owned by 100 percent by the private Flatlake foundation under Austrian law.
Scale of the organization
The Plansee Group employed a total of 6,253 people and realized consolidated sales of 1.26 billion euros in the past fiscal year.
During the last fiscal year, the Plansee Group made investments of 180 million euros. These included investments in shares, increased production capacity as well as product and process innovations.
An equity ratio of 58 percent of total assets or 1.1 billion euros and no net debt, the Plansee Group is in good shape not only for future growth, but also for more difficult economic times.
Number of countries of the organization
The Plansee Groups operates from 34 production sites worldwide and has sales companies and sales partners in 50 countries.
The figures published in this corporate social responsibility report are based on a consolidation of the Plansee Group. Some marked figures are average values of larger production sites.
The most important markets of the Plansee Group are business-to-business customers of the following industries: mechanical engineering, automotive, consumer electronics, medical technology, power engineering, construction and aerospace.
The Plansee Group mainly realized its sales in industrialized countries of Northern America, Europe and Asia. In the fiscal year 2014/15 the largest single market was USA, followed by Germany and China.
